What is the difference between "snap-on," "under-the-lug," and "over-the-lug" designs?

  • Snap-on: These are 1-piece wheel covers that install similarly to a standard hubcap and can be tapped into place using a rubber mallet.
     
  • Under-the-lug: These are typically 2-piece kits that are bolted down directly to the wheel using the vehicle's OEM lug nuts.
     
  • Over-the-lug: These fit directly above the OEM lug nuts and are held in place using custom Pacific Dualies mounting hardware, typically a combination of stud extenders and threaded lug nut covers.
